Parted Magic

Parted Magic - пакет утилит для работы с разделами жесткого диска на базе загрузочного CD Linux. Позволяет производить различные операции над разделами и поддерживает большое количество файловых систем.

В состав Parted Magic входят следующие программы:

  • GParted - редактор разделов
  • Partition Image - инструмент для работы с образами дисков
  • TestDisk - инструмент для восстановления загрузочных записей
  • fdisk, sfdisk - редакторы таблицы разделов
  • dosfstools - утилита для создания и проверки целостности разделов FAT
  • ntfsprogs - инструмент для работы с разделами NTFS
Parted Magic

Всего в состав Parted Magic входят 70 различных утилит для проверки состояния дисков, мониторинга, копирования, архивации данных. Поддерживаются файловые системы ext2, ext3, ext4, fat16, fat32, hfs, hfs+, jfs, linux-swap, ntfs, xfs, reiserfs, reiser4. Загрузка Parted Magic может осуществляться с CD, USB-диска или по сети.

Fixed eject bug in new pmagic_fstab_daemon.

A new program was added to help with computers not booting USB drives made with Unetbootin. Basically what it does is flashes the USB and formats it so BIOS sees it as USB-HDD. This program will wipe out ALL data on the USB. The new program is called USB Boot Flash and you can find it in the panel's System menu. Most of the formatting code was inspired by bootflash from Puppy Linux.

SpaceFM now manages the desktop. There are lots of advantages with SpaceFM's new desktop code. /root/Desktop is used for the icons, the icons are movable, and the right click menu works. With the right click menu you can create files, folders, mount devices, and alter the desktop settings. Rox-filer, feh, and imlib are not longer needed for the desktop, so they were removed. Saves 2MB on the overall size.

Вещь конечно хорошая. Автору спасибо за публикацию.
Но что-то уж больно они зачастили новые версии выпускать.
